Funding before production
Confirm the money is secured for a trade before that trade proceeds.
Reconciliation before closure
Compare approved items, completed work, costs, and remaining funds before the file is closed.
The three phases
Production Ready
The approved items and funding support the work required for production.
Production Hold
Unresolved issues exist that must be documented, priced, approved, clarified, or evaluated before affected work proceeds.
Final Reconciliation
Approved items, completed work, incurred costs, outstanding documentation, recoverable depreciation, and remaining claim funds are compared before the file closes.
A supporting four-part claim workflow (Review Initial Estimate, Build Strategy, Claim Development/Production, Final Reconciliation) is taught alongside these phases. It supports the three-phase model. It does not replace it.
